CLEO Partners with Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2024

At Cleo, we're excited to announce our official partnership with Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2024, a collaboration that represents a monumental stride towards sustainability and social impact. As pioneers in the intersection of technology, sustainability, and sports, we're thrilled to support UNICEF in creating a better world for every child through the power of football, entertainment, and storytelling.

Transforming Sports Engagement

Our CLEO "Sports for Good" program is a revolutionary approach that channels the passion of professional sports clubs and fans towards Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. Utilizing our $CLEO token, fans can engage with content, purchase digital assets like NFT-based match day programs, and convert their physical energy into support for their favorite clubs' green initiatives (which includes carbon offsetting and feeding children in good poverty in their local town or city). Clubs can also accelerate their ‘Path to Net Zero’ by using club revenue. This drive comes from the desire to do good through bringing more balance to professional sports and is heavily supported by EUFA and FIFA initiatives to bring the whole of professional football into being net zero carbon by 2030.

Soccer Aid 2024: A Partnership for Good

Soccer Aid for UNICEF is a cultural phenomenon that has been uniting global stars and audiences since 2006. Broadcasted on prime-time ITV, the event reaches over 4 million viewers, with a wider media reach of 5 billion. This year's event promises to be unprecedented in its ambition, reach, and impact, bringing together A-list celebrities, first-class entertainment, top-tier coaches, and iconic football grounds for a common cause.

As an Official Partner, CLEO will not only support the event but also utilize our platform to offset over 1,000 tonnes of carbon, making a tangible contribution to the environment.

The Power of Collaboration

Welcoming Ryan Horn to our team has already accelerated our discussions with twelve professional football teams, extending our reach into rugby, professional motorsport, and cricket. Ryan's extensive background, including his role as the former Binance NFT Director and achievements like the UK's first Crypto Premier League token deal with Arsenal, positions him perfectly to propel our "Sports for Good" initiative to new heights.
